If Outlook hangs up at the logo splash screen,try starting it with the /safe switch (Start / Run / Outlook.exe /safe)
If this works some files may be corrupted and can simply be deleted or renamed.
Use the Windows Explorer to search for and then either rename or delete the following files:
Views.dat
Outcmd.dat
Extend.dat
Frmcache.dat
Note: Not all files may be present on the computer
