Windows XP comes with a nice screen saver called My Pictures Slideshow which allows you to view the pictures in a given folder as a slideshow for your screen saver. Windows 2000 doesn’t have this feature but you can add it very easily if you have access to a Windows XP computer.
What you need to do is get the ssmypics.scr screensaver file from the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder of a Windows XP computer and save it to the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder of your Windows 2000 computer. Or you can download it here if you want it now. After you have done this you can go to your screensaver properties by right clicking on your desktop and picking Properties. Then go to the Screen Saver tab and pick the My Pictures Slideshow screen saver option.
After you select it you can click on the Settings button to configure the settings for the screen saver.
You can adjust the time in between pictures for the slide show, the size of the pictures, what pictures you want to use as well as other options.
