Exttend the context menu of the "Start" button.

It is hardly known, but important applications can be started with a right click on the "Start" button, for instance, the Windows Explorer. So, how to use other frequently used tools as well for quick accessibility?

Here is the tip :

This tip will show you how to insert a command to start the notepad editor. To do this, open the Registry Editor as usual with "Start/Run", and type "regedit" without quotes and then click on the "OK" button. Navigate to the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell key in the tree structure on the left of the window. Create a key over there with the help of the command "Edit/New/Key". Its name appears later as a command in the context menu and it should describe the program clearly, for instance, "notepad.exe" or "Start Notepad-Editor". The mark the new key and create another "command" key in it. Double-click on '(Default)' with the command. As 'Value Data' enter the complete path of the application in the 'Edit string' dialog, for instance, 'C:\WINDOWS\notepad.exe'.

Confirm the entry by clicking on "OK" and close the Editor, and restart the computer.
