Install Nortan Internet Security Suite Older Versions in Vista

Vista does not allow you to install older versions of Norton Internet Suite even though you paid for subscription, but if you want to install that subscription period software in Vista. Click here to download the software. Select your product package in the combination fields and then year of the version, either 2006 or 2007 version what you want. Here you will be able to download the Vista compatible version 2007 for free. Download and start install the software and it asks for the key and please give it your 2006 version key, and if you want to upgrade later use the key 2007 version. Open the program with the "Norton Internet Security" tab. Open the "Support" are and click on the "Active you product" link. To reactive your account with new key click "Next", give the new key in the dialog box, and click next. It will become functional after the online activation.

Installing Vista With No Product Key

You can install Vista with no product key and have 30 days to evaluate it

1. Boot from the DVD and start the installation
2. Select the Language, Time and Currency, and Keyboard
3. Click on Next
4. Click on Install Now
5. Don't enter a Product Key
6. Uncheck Automatically activate Windows when I'm online
7. Click on Next
8. Click on No to confirm you do not want to enter a product key
9. Highlight the version of Vista you want to install
10. Check that it is the same edition you have purchased (if you want to enter in a product key at a later time).
11. Click on Next
12. Check accept the license and terms
13. Click on Next
14. Install a clean copy and continue as with a regular install

Convert FAT to NTFS

To convert a FAT partition to NTFS, perform the following steps.

Click Start, click Programs, and then click Command Prompt.
In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type cmd and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS.
Convert.exe will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.

NOTE: Although the chance of corruption or data loss during the conversion from FAT to NTFS is minimal, it is best to perform a full backup of the data on the drive that it is to be converted prior to executing the convert command. It is also recommended to verify the integrity of the backup before proceeding, as well as to run RDISK and update the emergency repair disk (ERD).

Installing a new font

I only found out how to install a new font not that long ago so ive made my very own tutorial on how i done it,


1, after downloading the font file from where ever it looks like this;



2, after extracting the file it now should look like this;



3, now i saved these 2 files to my little USB pendrive thing because when we get to the part where to install the font i couldnt browes through my files to find it so its best if you can save it to your pendrive or any removeable device.


4, now go to your control panel and click on fonts like what ive got circled below;



5, now were getting somewhere, next click on 'file' and scroll down to 'install new font';



6, then look for where your removeable device would be, mines is in 'L' as you can see, once uve found it click on it and it automatically selects the fonts from your removeable device or whatever you are using like so;



7, now click on 'select all' and click 'ok'



8, you'll then see 2 blue bars for like a couple of seconds but thats just your fonts installing, it wasnt worth taking a picture of so dont expect one


9, now go to your character map and your font should be there
here is the font i installed, its old english the same writting as my tattoo.

and where it says "characters to copy" it says 'cheeseface' but because its that small with alot of detail its kinda shit looking,

ReInstalling WindowsXP

If you need to reinstall WindowsXP and want to keep all your current installed applications and settings:

1. Start WindowsXP

2. Go to the location of your source files

3. Run WINNT32 /unattend


I've often need to do this to repair something that had gotten corrupted and didn't want to do a clean install.

Installing Fonts in Windows

Fonts, sometimes called typestyles are used to change the way a character looks on the page in your documents or web pages etc.

Installing fonts in Windows is quite simple. There are a couple of ways to do it. We will go over the “proper” way and the quick way to install new fonts.

To install fonts you need to go to your Control Panel and double click the fonts icon. This will bring up a window with the fonts you already have installed. To install a new font you need to go to File, then Install New Font.



Then you will need to browse to the location that contains the fonts you wish to install



From here you can pick the individual fonts you want to install or click on Select All to install all the fonts in that directory. If the font is already installed on your computer you will get a message telling you so.
