If you want to know is there any quicker way to auto-completion of the whole website address in Internet Explore, like "WWW" or ".com".
Here is the tip :
With Internet Explorer 6 in Windows XP, typing web addresses is really convenient. All you have to do is type the domain of an address, such as Microsoft, and then press [ctrl]+ENTER. Internet explorer automatically wraps 'http://www....com' around what you typed. In case you are not sure whether the site uses a .com extension or some other one ? Just type the domain of the address and hit Enter.Internet Explorer tries to find the site by using the various extensions that are used by Websites . If you need to edit an address , you can use [Ctrl]+LEFT ARROW and [ctrl]+RIGHT ARROW to easily move between different parts of the address separated by periods.

Or you could just get Firefox. I type google, I get google, I type tumblr, I get tumblr, et cetera.
Internet explorer may be supporting only opening .COM websites this way, but Firefox also supports opening .NET and .ORG sites in similar way. Here is How to open .NET and .ORG websites quickly in Firefox
